It all started over the weekend, when Marlon was at an airport in Denver, Colorado en route to a show in Kansas City.

Marlon says when he approached the gate to board, he was told he had too many bags and had to consolidate his carry-on items.

He complied — except when he attempted to board a second time, he was denied again, now being told he actually had to check his bags.

Marlon proceeded to board anyway since he had followed the instructions, but was later removed from the flight by security and issued a ticket from the Denver police department.

“I’ve flown over 15,000,000 miles in my lifetime, and I rarely have had problems. Anyone who knows me knows I’m a mild mannered dude,” Marlon explained on Instagram.

He continued, “This agent was clearly picking on me. He asked me to consolidate my bags, and I complied. Then said now I have to check the bag, because now since I consolidated it into one bag, it was too big.”

At that point, Marlon says he told the agent, “See, now you’re just fuckin’ with me” and proceeded to grab his ticket off the counter and “got on the plane.”

About a half an hour later, Marlon was escorted off the plane and given a citation for disturbing the peace.

According to a statement from United, during the incident, Marlon “pushed past a United employee at the jetbridge” — but Marlon says he never touched the employee.

“Yes, a ticket… that’s all they could give me,” Marlon wrote. “Dude tried to lie and say I assaulted him. The video clearly shows I never touched him. He was desperate to try to have some authority.”

Marlon eventually was able to get a seat on an American Airlines flight but ultimately missed his show.

“All I wanted was to get to my sold-out shows and entertain my fans in KANSAS CITY. But instead, some turd woke up on the wrong side of the bed and decided to f*ck with me. He was rude and wrong,” Marlon shared.

He added, “@united you owe me for my inconvenience, for my missed shows, and most of all, you owe my disappointed fans. After you compensate me, you should give all the fans affected by my no show vouchers for free trips.”

Marlon noted that he’s sure many others have had similar experiences and called for the “mistreatment” to stop.

“This was harassment, and I will make enough noise to be sure all my friends and family and peoples stop flying @united,” Marlon wrote. “Black people all kinds of racism and classism. I won’t allow this. Over a bag?”

Marlon says he’s since spoken with United Airlines, who did not apologize but instead defended their employee.

During a phone call, Marlon says the airline explained their bag policy, and when he told them he had complied, the representative allegedly said that gate agent had been told there was no more room on the plane — despite numerous passengers boarding after Marlon with their bags.

“Don’t call me and defend an employee for targeting me. This incident needs to be remedied. I ain’t resting until I am compensated correctly for this severe inconvenience. Bro a liar,” Marlon concluded.

Safe to say Marlon will likely not be flying with United anytime soon!
